WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Trump administration’s Justice Department is investigating multiple large companies for employing diversity initiatives, according to recent reporting from The Wall Street Journal.

Specifically, the DOJ is using The False Claims Act of 1963 as justification, a law that typically holds federal contract holders accountable for submitting false financial claims to the government.

The DOJ now reportedly believes that companies using diversity initiatives constitutes fraud.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Verizon and Alphabet, the parent company of Google, have received demands from the DOJ to supply certain documents.
