NEW YORK, N.Y. – Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch met with Ghislaine Maxwell again today, following a meeting with her yesterday. The meetings are part of ongoing efforts by the Justice Department to address issues related to the criminal cases of Jeffrey Epstein and Maxwell.
The Justice Department is asking two federal judges in New York to unseal grand jury transcripts from the criminal cases involving Epstein and Maxwell. These transcripts could provide further insight into the investigations centered around sex trafficking.
President Donald Trump, when asked about the possibility of pardoning Maxwell, stated, “It’s something I haven’t thought about. I’m allowed to do it, but it’s something I have not thought about.”
Attorney General Pam Bondi is facing calls to testify before Congress. This comes after a Wall Street Journal report indicated she informed President Trump that his name appeared multiple times in the Epstein files.
The Epstein files are related to the sex trafficking investigation that has drawn significant attention and scrutiny. The Justice Department’s request to unseal transcripts signals a continued effort to uncover details in the high-profile case.
