Juliet Charron to lead Idaho Department of Health and Welfare

BOISE, Idaho – Governor Brad Little has appointed Juliet Charron as the new director of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

Charron is set to begin her new role on September 15. She brings extensive experience from her previous work leading Idaho’s Medicaid and Behavioral Health programs, which serve more than 350,000 residents.

Governor Little expressed confidence in Charron’s abilities, stating she brings an “impressive level of knowledge, experience, and leadership ability to lead Health and Welfare—an agency that serves hundreds of thousands of Idahoans through its various programs.”

Charron’s appointment marks a significant leadership change at Idaho’s largest state agency. Her expertise is expected to guide the department in its ongoing mission to serve the health and welfare needs of Idaho residents.
