WALLA WALLA, Wash. – 1, was found dead in his cell at the Washington State Penitentiary, according to the Washington State Department of Corrections.
A department spokesperson said Phillips was found dead in his cell late Aug. 3. The death remains under investigation, and an autopsy is pending. However, the department said no foul play is suspected.

In April 2021, Phillips murdered Dewey and attacked her daughter, Lily, before being taken into custody at the scene.
