LOS ANGELES – A California jury has ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay $966 million after finding the company liable in a lawsuit over talc powder.

The family of Mary Moore claimed she died from a rare cancer caused by the powder, saying it was contaminated with asbestos. Johnson & Johnson denied the claims. The company has since stopped selling the product.
