WASHINGTON STATE – The Internal Revenue Service has extended the deadline for tax relief to May 1 for Washington residents and businesses affected by severe weather.
The extension follows a disaster declaration by FEMA, offering relief to those in counties including Benton, Chelan, Kittitas, Lewis and Yakima.
The IRS will automatically apply this relief to taxpayers in these areas. Those affected outside the declared disaster area are advised to contact the IRS for assistance.
