SPOKANE, Wash. – Monday, October 13, marks Indigenous Peoples Day, leading to several changes in city services across the region.

In Spokane, on-street parking meters and kiosks will not require payments. However, parking limits will still apply.

City of Spokane offices will remain open, and garbage, recycling and yard waste services will operate as usual.

The Spokane City Council meeting has been canceled and will resume its regular schedule next week.

In North Idaho, Kootenai County offices, including the Sheriff’s Office, will be closed.

Despite these closures, the solid waste transfer stations in Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls will remain open.

Normal business hours for all services will resume on Tuesday.
