Independent Todd Achilles campaigns for Idaho Senate seat

IDAHO – Todd Achilles, an independent candidate and former state lawmaker, is actively campaigning to represent Idaho in the U.S. Senate.

Achilles, also an Army veteran, aims to unseat Republican Senator Jim Risch in the 2026 election.

Achilles recently completed the North Idaho leg of his “Shake Up the System” tour, visiting cities such as Lewiston, Moscow, Wallace and Coeur d’Alene.

He has been engaging with voters and discussing issues like rising costs and dissatisfaction with both major parties. Updates from his campaign stops have been regularly shared on Facebook.

Currently, Achilles is campaigning in Southern Idaho, with visits planned this weekend in Twin Falls, Pocatello and Idaho Falls.

Despite Idaho’s history of not electing a non-Republican to the U.S. Senate in over 50 years, Achilles remains hopeful.

A poll from July showed 41 percent support for incumbent Risch, 16 percent for Democrat David Roth, and 5 percent each for independents Achilles and Natalie Fleming.

Nearly a third of voters are still undecided, leaving room for potential shifts in voter support.
