SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – The Washington Employment Security Department announced that 310 workers at Incyte Diagnostics will be laid off starting August 4, 2025.
The layoffs come after Incyte Diagnostics entered an acquisition agreement with LabCorp, a testing lab based in North Carolina. An executive at the company explained the situation, stating, “The notice stems from a recent acquisition agreement early this month with LabCorp.”
Despite the upcoming layoffs, the Board Chair assured that the lab will continue to operate normally after the sale. “The goal was for all staff to either continue to work at Incyte or at LabCorp,” the Board Chair stated.
He also clarified that the WARN notice was issued due to a Washington law requiring notification for employees transferring from one entity to another.
