
KITTITAS, Wash. – An Illinois man was charged with DUI and endangering a roadway worker on Saturday night after crashing into a Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) truck on I-90 south of Kittitas.
The driver of the WSDOT truck, who was applying product to the roadway at the time of the crash, was injured and transported to Kittitas Valley Healthcare.
According to a press release from Washington State Patrol, the 29-year-old from Mount Prospect, Illinois was traveling eastbound on I-90 at around 7:52 p.m. when he crashed into the WSDOT truck. The WSDOT truck entered the median and rolled.
The extent of the truck driver’s injuries are not known at this time. The 29-year-old was not injured.
