Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson has joined forces with Rep. Claudia Tenney of New York in cosponsoring a resolution to designate June as National Dairy Month.
Simpson emphasized the significance of the dairy industry in Idaho, noting its position as the third-largest dairy-producing state. “Designating June as National Dairy Month recognizes the substantial economic impact and honors those who work tirelessly to keep our fridges stocked,” Simpson said.
The resolution aims to celebrate the contributions of hardworking farmers who produce milk, cheese, and other dairy products, vital to both Idaho’s economy and the nation’s kitchen tables.
Simpson, an original cosponsor, expressed his commitment to continue advocating for Idaho’s dairy industry.
