
BOISE, Idaho — The seventh-seeded Idaho Vandals kept their postseason run alive, upsetting the second-seeded Montana State Bobcats 78-74 in the second round of the Big Sky tournament.
Idaho erased a halftime deficit and outscored Montana State 42-34 in the second half to complete the comeback. The Vandals trailed by four-points at the break before tightening up defensively and executing down the stretch to secure the upset victory.
The game was tightly contested throughout, featuring eight ties and 11 lead changes. The V’s had four players land in double figures, Biko Johnson led the way with 19.
With the victory, Idaho improved to 19-14 on the season and advanced to the Big Sky semifinals, where they will face the winner of the quarterfinal matchup between Eastern Washington and Weber State.
