HENRY’S LAKE, Idaho – Idaho State Police are investigating a crash that resulted in the deaths of seven people on May 1, 2025. The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 20 near Henry’s Lake.
Troopers determined that a pickup truck crossed the center line and collided with a van carrying a group of international tourists. The tourists were traveling to Yellowstone National Park on an excursion organized by a large-scale tour operator specializing in international travel services.
The cause of the pickup truck crossing the center line remains under investigation.
The National Transportation Safety Board is conducting an independent investigation due to the crash’s size and the involvement of a commercial vehicle.
