
LEWIS COUNTY, Idaho – Idaho State Police have honored two communication officers for their crucial role in the rescue of a kidnapping victim in Lewis County.
ISP reported that Thomas Conrad and Jamielyn Rupe assisted in locating a young woman who had signaled for help at a local business, indicating she was not safe. However, she left before law enforcement could arrive.
The two communication officers worked diligently with limited information to identify those involved and pinpoint the victim’s and suspect’s location.
Troopers and the SWAT team arrived at the residence, arresting the suspect after the victim managed to escape.
