BOISE, Idaho – Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador announced that the state could receive $2.6 million from a settlement involving eight opioid drug makers. This sum is part of a $720 million national settlement distributed among all 50 states.
The announcement follows recent news that Washington could receive more than $16 million and Montana about $2.5 million from the same settlement. The Idaho figure is a new revelation.
The funds are expected to support various initiatives, including drug court programs and NARCAN availability for first responders. Additionally, the money will help develop programs for those suffering from opioid addiction.
