IDAHO – Police officers across Idaho have begun a statewide crackdown on speeders. The initiative aims to encourage drivers to slow down and drive less aggressively.

This action comes in response to the rising number of road fatalities. So far this year, 126 people have died on Idaho roads, compared to 113 at the same time last year.

The crackdown will continue through the July 26. Similar efforts are also taking place in neighboring states Washington, Oregon and Montana.
