Idaho increases speed patrols to address rising road deaths

IDAHO – The Idaho Transportation Department’s Office of Highway Safety reported an increase in road fatalities this year, with 126 deaths compared to 113 at the same time last year.

In response to the rising numbers, Idaho is increasing speed patrols as part of efforts to reduce road fatalities. This initiative will take place from July 20 to 26.

The campaign is part of a larger regional effort in collaboration with Washington, Oregon, Montana and Alaska.

The goal is to enhance road safety across the region and curb the growing number of traffic-related deaths.
