
BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho State Society, Daughters of the American Revolution (ISSDAR) has raised over $20,000 for reforestation efforts in Stanley, Idaho, following the Wapiti Fire.
The funds were collected through the “Project Pinecone” campaign began in November 2024.
The campaign received contributions from DAR members, forest supporters nationwide, and Idaho businesses such as Boise Cascade and Idaho Power. The final fundraising total will be revealed at a ceremony at the Stanley Ranger Station on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at noon.

During the event, Congressman Mike Simpson will join in presenting the NSDAR Conservation Medal to Stanley Forest Ranger Nelson Mills in recognition of his contributions to conservation efforts.
This initiative highlights ISSDAR’s commitment to environmental preservation and community support in the wake of natural disasters.
