Idaho Congressman Russ Fulcher says Epstein files must be released

Idaho – Congressman Russ Fulcher, representative for Idaho’s 1st district, released a public statement asking for the release of the Epstein files.

His full statement is below:

“The Epstein files must be released, and those who abused vulnerable young people must be held accountable. I fully support the actions being led by House Oversight Chairman James Comer to do just that. Just this week, 33,295 pages of Epstein-related records were made public, with more information to come soon. We have an obligation to the victims, and a responsibility to expose the truth and create accountability. I will continue to do everything I can to prevent this type of carnage from ever happening again,” he wrote.

Fulcher’s statement comes a day after a in Washington D.C. featured several women who lived through abuse from Jeffrey Epstein, who died in a New York Jail cell in 2019 while facing charges for sexually abusing teenage girls.

Speakers at the rally demanded more transparency about Epstein’s abuse case.

The day before the rally, the House Oversight Committee released files it received from the Justice Department, but many of them were .

A press release on September 3 from Speaker of the House Mike Johnson said that House Republicans voted to endorse and affirm the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into Epstein’s crimes.

In the press release, Johnson wrote that the Oversight Committee had issued depositions to a collection of public officials and organizations regarding the case.
