IDAHO – Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson cosponsored a bill which aims to “prohibit the participation of males in athletic programs or activities at military service academies that are designated for women or girls.”
The bill, H.R. 3917, was sponsored by South Dakota Representative Dusty Johnson and companion legislation been introduced to the senate by Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville, according to a release by Simpons’s office.
“An overwhelming majority of Americans agree that men do not belong in women’s sports,” said Rep. Simpson.
“Upholding the promise of Title IX means protecting women’s sports at every level of competition. Our nation’s military academies provide students with an excellent opportunity to pursue higher education, compete in athletics, and serve our country. These institutions should not focus on the woke, out-of-touch policies of the previous administration. I am proud to cosponsor this legislation and stand up for the next generation of female military leaders,” he said.
