MOSES LAKE, Wash. – Starting July, drivers on Interstate 90 between Moses Lake and east of the Vantage Bridge can expect longer travel times.
The Washington State Department of Transportation announced in a release that contractor crews will begin paving two sections of I-90 from July 21 until October 31, with work resuming in spring 2026.
Crews will focus on areas most in need of restoration. Paving will occur from Dodson Road to Mae Valley and between Mae Valley and east of Moses Lake, both directions.
In spring 2026, paving will extend from George to east of the Vantage Bridge, mileposts 138-148, with completion expected in fall 2026. This schedule avoids interfering with the Vantage Bridge deck replacement.
Travelers should anticipate single-lane closures and temporary ramp closures during working hours. Speeds will be reduced from 70 mph to 55 mph, with an advisory speed of 40 mph during work hours.
Work will occur Monday through Thursday until Labor Day, then shift to Monday through Friday until October 31.
