I-90 lane closures and sweeping work scheduled between Geiger and Pines in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. — Both directions of I-90 between Geiger Boulevard and Highway 27/Pines Avenue will undergo sweeping.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), sweeping is scheduled to begin at 4 a.m. Sunday. Left lane closures will be in place on eastbound and westbound I-90 between milepost 276 and milepost 290, from Geiger Boulevard to Highway 27/Pines Avenue.

From Monday, Aug. 25, through Wednesday, Aug. 27, crews will also conduct mobile right lane and ramp closures in the same area, WSDOT said.

WSDOT said crews plan to finish by 1 p.m. each day and will be off the road during peak morning commute hours. Drivers are urged to slow down and move over while traveling near the mobile work zone.
