SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. — Interstate 90 from North Bend to Ellensburg will remain closed overnight due to severe snow and ice, creating treacherous driving conditions, officials said Friday.
Spring storms have caused freeze-thaw-freeze cycles, effectively turning the highway into an ice rink.
Additional snow and icy conditions are expected to continue, making travel extremely hazardous.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes if possible.
