SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – A house fire broke out this afternoon, prompting a swift response from the Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD).
The fire in the 15800 block of E Valleyway Ave was reported around 2:30 and was knocked down within 12 minutes, according to SVFD spokesperson Travis Patterson.
Heavy smoke was visible from the home, but it remains unknown if anyone was inside when the fire started.
There were no injuries and no other structures were threatened by the blaze.
The SVFD is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
