Hot dog tray invention becomes a hit with Costco shoppers

SAN FRANSISCO, Calif. – A new invention is making waves among Costco shoppers, offering a practical solution for those who love a quick bite while navigating the bustling aisles.

Juleon Cotillon, a pastry chef with a passion for hot dogs, has created “The Buck-Fifty,” a tray designed to attach to shopping carts.

This innovative tray is built to hold Costco’s popular $1.50 hot dog and soda deal, complete with a spot for the hot dog and a cup holder for the drink.

Cotillon’s journey began with a simple idea, which he sketched out before teaching himself to use a 3D printer to bring his vision to life.

“Buck Fifty logo.. much cleaner and I don’t have to color it in, has a bigger lip and it holds much better I think than the first two,” Cotillon said.

After perfecting his design, Cotillon launched his product online. The response has been overwhelming, leading to a backlog of orders that he estimates will take about three months to fulfill.

Despite the high demand, customers can still place orders through Cotillon’s Shopify and Etsy pages.
