
SPOKANE, Wash. – Hoopfest is in full swing in downtown Spokane as teams compete fiercely for championship spots.
Among the competitors are Alonzo Adams and Zelissa Finley, college basketball players and a couple, who have been playing in the coed elite bracket. Though their team exited the semifinals, the tournament isn’t over for them.
“It’s just easier to go together,” Adams said, highlighting the couple’s shared passion for basketball.
Finley, who has been participating in Hoopfest since second grade, emphasized the event’s special place in their lives.
The couple’s journey through Hoopfest showcases their love both on and off the court. Even as they face wins and losses, their experience in Spokane continues to strengthen their bond.
Hoopfest remains a cherished tradition, drawing players and fans to the streets of Spokane year after year.
