A federal judge is set to hold a hearing in Maryland on Thursday as part of ongoing efforts from the U.S. to deport Kilmar Abrego Garcia to Liberia.
Abrego Garcia was mistakenly deported to El Salvador in March. The Trump administration conceded that it was an “administrative error.”
Attorneys representing Abrego Garcia argue that the current attempt to deport their client are retaliatory after his initial erroneous deportation failed.
A hearing has also been set for December 8 for smuggling charges Abrego Garcia is facing in Tennessee.
