LAKE PEND OREILLE, Idaho — Hawkins Point access site on Lake Pend Oreille will be temporarily closed starting April 1.
According to Idaho Fish and Game, the closure will allow crews to replace the upper half of the existing boat ramp, which is aging and in poor condition.
IDFG has other improvements planned later this year, including upgrades to the dock structure and parking area.
The access site is expected to reopen before the end of April. In the meantime, there are boat launch locations at Hope Basin and Pringle Park.
