SPOKANE, Wash. – Starting Monday, May 19, eastbound Hartson Avenue will be closed between Freya and Havana Street. A detour will guide traffic during this period.
The $1.9 million project aims to enhance pedestrian safety around Scott Elementary. Improvements include adding sidewalks, curb extensions, and enhanced crosswalks. Traffic-calming measures will be implemented to slow vehicles, ensuring safer routes for students walking to and from school.
