VALLEYFORD, Wash. – Spokane County deputies arrested a man they said was half-clothed on residential burglary and theft charges on Wednesday.
According to a press release from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), they were alerted to the burglary at around 12:55 p.m. when a resident reported seeing an unknown man enter their home on their video security system.
Deputies arrived on the scene and found a 62-year-old man exiting the back of the home. SCSO said he was only clothed with a t-shirt, which he admitted to taking from inside the house.
SCSO said deputies believed the man was under the influence of a controlled substance, so he was transported to the hospital for evaluation. He later admitted to using cocaine.
After being medically cleared, he was booked into the Spokane County Jail on residential burglary and 3rd degree theft.
