Gunfire and domestic violence lead to arrest in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE, Wash. – A 35-year-old man is in custody after an early morning domestic violence incident.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to a 911 call around 1 a.m. Monday on Mae Valley Road.

The suspect allegedly assaulted his partner and fired a handgun into his home’s deck.

Authorities, including the Moses Lake Police Department and the Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team, surrounded the residence. After hours of negotiations, flash bangs, and tear gas and the suspect surrendered without further conflict.

He is being held in the Grant County Jail on charges of second-degree assault-domestic violence, resisting arrest, possession of a stolen firearm, and reckless endangerment.
