GSL 3A champs Mt. Spokane drop quarterfinal game at state

TACOMA, Wash – The Mt. Spokane Wildcats lost a quarterfinal game in the 3A boys state basketball tournament Thursday.

The Wildcats, who won the 3A GSL title, lost to Eastside Catholic 53-37.

Mt. Spokane now moves into the consolation bracket.

They’ll play the loser of Bellevue and Lincoln on Friday. The winner of that game advances to play for fifth place on Saturday.

Senior Jaden Ghoreishi and sophomore Tysen Lewis led the way for the Wildcats with 10 points a piece.

Eastside Catholic held Mt. Spokane to just eight points in the second quarter and six points in the third.
