Grant County Sheriff’s Office urges caution around farm equipment on roadways during spring

GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — With spring comes agriculture in the Inland Northwest.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is asking everyone to watch out for slow-moving farm equipment on roadways, especially during planting and harvest seasons.

The Sheriff’s Office says farmers moving these heavy pieces of machinery between fields can create potential traffic hazards for drivers.

You can do your part in keeping everyone safe by slowing down when you see farm equipment on the road, wait for safe and legal passing opportunities, watch for slow moving lights and approach farm equipment with caution, especially on narrow or rural roads.
