WARDEN, Wash. – A 40-year-old man is in custody after allegedly trying to steal a train on Wednesday evening.

The Warden Police Department (WPD) reported that John McKernan Vasquez was arrested near the Bunge food producer plant west of Warden.

Authorities said Vasquez accessed a locomotive and released the brakes in an attempt to move the train.
