Grant County lowers evacuation level for Electric City, Delano near 100 acre Silver fire

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office has downgraded the evacuation level for Electric City and Delano Heights to Level 1.

UPDATE: August 6 at 5:00 p.m.

According to Grand Coulee Fire Chief Ryan Fish, forward progression of the fire has stopped and that evacuations orders probably won’t expand past Level 2.

The cause of the fire is under conversation.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Level 2 fire evacuation notice for all of Delano Heights as the fire has grown to 100 acres, according to Thomas Kyle-Milward, Communications Manager with the Department of Natural Resources.

ELECTRIC CITY, Wash. – The Grant County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Level 2 fire evacuation for all of Electric City and nearby residents due to a wildfire.

Residents are advised to stay alert and be prepared to leave if necessary.
