SHORELINE, Wash. – Governor Bob Ferguson and Secretary of Transportation Julie Meredith will provide an update Friday on the repairs to State Route 2, which was heavily damaged by recent storms.
Governor Ferguson previously stated that a portion of Highway 2 between Skykomish and Leavenworth will remain closed for “months.”
Highway 2 was initially closed on December 10 from Index to Coles Corner due to mud, water, and debris. It reopened between Index and Skykomish the following day but remains closed over Stevens Pass to Leavenworth
Gov. Ferguson is scheduled to provide the update on December 26, at 12:00 p.m. at the NWR Transportation Management Center in Shoreline.
