
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – In their final season in the West Coast Conference, the Gonzaga Bulldogs (24-9, 14-4) go out as champions with a 76-66 win over the No. 4-seeded Oregon State Beavers (23-11, 13-5).
Lauren Whittaker led GU with 26 points and nine rebounds, supported well from a 14-point Allie Turner performance.
The Zags take both the 11th program WCC title and the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. GU currently projects as a No. 12 seed, according to ESPN.
Gonzaga waits now for the NCAA Women’s Selection Show this Sunday at 5:00 p.m. PST.
