
SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga University has been named one of the nation’s most innovative universities in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings.
Gonzaga landed at No. 48 on the list of “Most Innovative National Universities,” marking its first time appearing in that category. The university also ranked No. 102 overall among national universities.
In addition to the innovation ranking, Gonzaga moved up in several program areas. Its “Undergraduate Teaching” ranking jumped 39 spots to No. 17 nationally. The university also rose in “Service Learning,” moving from No. 21 to No. 15.
The university was also ranked No. 21 for undergraduate engineering programs among non-doctorate schools, with civil engineering breaking into the list at No. 13. Undergraduate nursing was ranked No. 59, business No. 88, and computer science No. 177. Within business, Gonzaga ranked No. 26 in accounting, No. 20 in finance and No. 29 in entrepreneurship.
Gonzaga also placed in the top third of “Best Value Schools” and “Best Colleges for Veterans” among national universities.
According to the university, 93% of first-year students return for a second year, 86% of undergraduates graduate within six years, and 93% of graduates secure employment, graduate school placement, military service or post-graduate service within a year.
This is the seventh consecutive year Gonzaga has been included in the national university rankings by U.S. News & World Report.
