
TACOMA, Wash. — Gonzaga Prep’s season came to an end after the Bullpups fell 66 to 61, in the Class 4A girls basketball state tournament.
The Bullpups battled throughout the game but was unable to keep pace down the stretch, two players landed in double figures, Aylah Cornwall with 26 and Laura Thompson with 19.
The Woodinville Falcons led at halftime by three points, and the game had 8 ties and 16 lead changes throughout the entirety.
The loss marked only the second defeat of the season for the Bullpups, who had been among the top teams in the state throughout the year.
