SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga men’s basketball team is set to face off against Alabama tonight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for the Players’ Era Championship. This game marks the start of a challenging monthlong nonconference schedule for the Bulldogs.

The tournament features 18 men’s teams, each playing two prescheduled games, with a possible third game based on tiebreakers like point differentials. Gonzaga’s second game will be against Maryland on Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs will continue playing at neutral sites until West Coast Conference play begins on December 28 against Pepperdine.

Meanwhile, the Washington State Cougars are starting their journey in the Southwest Maui Invitational tonight. They will face Chaminade at 6:00 p.m. Depending on the outcome, the Cougars will play either Arizona State or Texas next. The tournament concludes with a placing or championship game on Wednesday.

The holiday hoop season is in full swing, with excitement building for both teams’ fans.
