Free parking in Spokane on Presidents Day, Spokane County offices closed

SPOKANE, Wash. – On Monday, February 16, on-street parking meters and kiosks in Spokane will not require payment due to the Presidents Day holiday.

Despite free parking, all regular parking rules, including time limits, will remain in effect.

Garbage and recycling pickup will continue as usual, and the Waste to Energy Facility will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Spokane City Hall, including Spokane 311 and the Development Services Center, will also remain open.

However, the Spokane City Council has canceled its agenda review and legislative meetings for February 16.

The Numerica Skate Ribbon and Looff Carrousel in Riverfront Park will be open on Presidents Day.

Spokane Public Library branches will be closed, while Spokane Municipal Court and Community Justice Services will be available by phone only on February 16.

In Spokane County, all county offices and courts will be closed on Presidents Day, affecting facilities like the Spokane County Regional Veterans Services Office and Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service.

However, the Spokane County Regional Solid Waste System’s two Transfer Stations, North County and Spokane Valley, will remain open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
