SPRINGDALE, Wash. – Former Springdale Clerk Lisa Shepperd is facing charges for allegedly embezzling $30,000 in city funds.
Shepperd was arrested in March following an investigation by the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation began in July after the mayor claimed Shepperd had written $14,000 worth of checks to herself, all within the last year.
Deputies also determined that Shepperd overpaid herself thousands of dollars in vacation pay from 2016 to 2022.
Her trial is scheduled for this summer.
