According to our partners at the Spokesman Review, Knezovich has deep roots in Wyoming, with three generations of his family born there, including himself. He has always regarded the state as his home.

After stepping down as sheriff in December 2022, Knezovich returned to Wyoming. He has since served as the volunteer police chief for the town of Superior and has been active in combating drug trafficking in the area.

Knezovich, running as a Republican, unveiled his campaign slogan “Wyoming First” on a poster shared during his announcement.
