
COEUR d’ALENE, Idaho – A former employee of Coeur d’Alene Public Schools was arrested in a the school district confirmed in a press release.
“Coeur d’Alene School District leadership was made aware through media reports that Jonathan Mahn, a former district employee, was among twelve people recently arrested in Battle Ground, WA on suspicion of involvement in child sexual abuse and exploitation,” the district said.
CDA Public Schools said that Mahn worked as a communications and multimedia specialist in their district office from January 2019 to March 2025, when he was terminated. The district did not elaborate on the reasons for his termination other than it was “unrelated to the allegations reported by the media.”
The district said they never became aware or received any reports concerning Mahn’s alleged behavior during his employment.
Over the weekend of August 23, a dozen people were arrested in Battle Ground as part of an operation identifying potential exploitation and sexual abuse of children. Washington State Patrol partnered with agencies from across Washington and Oregon in what they called a “collaborative effort” in a press release.
