Fireworks and music take center stage at the 5-day Riverfront Summer Carnival

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Riverfront Summer Carnival is taking place this week from July 2 to July 6 at and around Riverfront’s Central Plaza, with the main event taking place on the Fourth of July with live music and fireworks.

Admission to the carnival is free and carnival rides range from $5-$8, while wristbands can be bought for $43.

Rides include the Gravitron, a Berry Go Round and Zero Gravity. There is also the Ring of Fire, a Loopo Plane and the Twizzler. There is even Castle Mania, the Lady Bug, Speed, Truck Stop, Quads and Mardis Gras. Finally, there is also a Ferris Wheel.

“Bring the whole family to experience the magic of summer with all your carnival favorites, from thrilling rides to nostalgic games that spark joy at every turn,” says the carnival announcement.

The Fourth of July celebration starts at 6:30 p.m. on July 4 and will feature a performance by Spokane-based band Atari Ferrari from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Then, from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., the MasterClass Big Band will play.

Finally, at 10 p.m. there will be fireworks over the Spokane River presented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

“Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, family, and friends to enjoy a full evening of celebration. This is a free community event you won’t want to miss!” proclaims the announcement.

The Carnival is presented by Idaho Central Credit Union and sponsored by Kaiser Permanente.
