SPOKANE, Wash. – Firefighters are responding to multiple fires burning near the Spokane Waste Water Management Facility on North Aubrey L White Parkway and the Bowl and Pitcher Area of Riverside State Park.
Crews from Spokane County Fire Districts 10 and 9, along with the Washington State Department of Resources, reported that the largest fire was burning an area approximately 200 feet by 200 feet in size. Firefighters are utilizing hand tools, water and progressive hose lays to combat the flames.
Officials confirmed that no structures were threatened by the fires. The cause of the fires remains undetermined at this time.
