SPOKANE, Wash. – A small fire broke out near the North Spokane Costco roundabout on Friday afternoon.
According to Robert Gray, Public Information Officer with Spokane County Fire District Nine (SCFD9), a small fire ignited around 3:12 p.m. in the middle of the field adjacent to the roundabout. The fire was slow-moving and no structures were threatened.
SCFD9 and the Washington State Department of Natural Resources responded to the scene, and were able to stop the fire’s forward progress around 3:35 p.m. Crews remained on the scene to continue mop-up efforts.
