
SOAP LAKE, Wash – A wildfire near Soap Lake is under control and firefighters are mopping up the area, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
The total size is yet to be determined and the fire is under investigation.

Fire crews from several agencies are battling flames from a wildfire near Soap Lake.
As of 3:30 Thursday afternoon, the fire has burned about six acres, which is the size of about four and a half football fields.
Firefighters have not yet ordered people to evacuate, but they are protecting homes in the area about four miles southeast of Soap Lake.
Smoke from the fire is impacting drivers on State Road 28.
