BONNER COUNTY, Idaho – Bonner County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after gunshots were reportedly heard during a firefighting operation at the Old House Road fire.
The incident occurred this afternoon around 3 p.m. Firefighters immediately backed out of the area after hearing the shots, according to Bonner County Undersheriff Ror Lakewold.
Fortunately, no one was shot during the incident. Lakewold stated that it does not appear the shots were directed at the firefighters.
