SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Fire investigators are raising concerns about a potential arson spree near a popular recreation area in Spokane County.
Firefighters responded to a small fire on Thursday at Boulder Beach, west of Millwood. This was the second fire in the area within three days, leading investigators to suspect the involvement of a serial arsonist.
Crews managed to quickly contain the flames, but there is growing concern about the sloped terrain, which could make future fires more challenging and dangerous to combat.
Investigators have urged the public to report any suspicious activity in the area.
